The Imperial Roman Forum and the Coliseum marked the centre of ancient Rome. Colosseo 28 Rome is located just 50 metres from the Coliseum and it is hard to imagine another guest house closer to the historic centre of Rome. The awe inspiring Coliseum literally towers over our guest house and guests can’t help but marvel at its history. The history of the area around our guest house is truly staggering and there are no shortage of sights and points of interest in the vicinity. In just a short 10 minute walk, guests can arrive at the Imperial Roman Forum and a little further Trajan’s Column, Piazza Venezia, the Capitoline Museums and Largo Argentina. In just 5 mins however in the opposite direction guests can reach the Basilica and Catacombs of San Celmente where guests can descend into the ground and travel back in time to the first years of Christianity and beyond. The cathedral of Rome, the Basilica of San Giovanni is also within easy reach together with the Holy Steps brought over from Jerusalem in the 4th century. To relax after absorbing so much history, our guest house also sits opposite a green Roman park, and there are also bars and restaurants in the area to enjoy. A short walk away, guests can also find the quaint boutiques, bars and traditional restaurants of the trendy area of Monti with its cobbled streets and indescribable charm. Finally, we are well connected by public transport with the tram network passing around 20 metres from us, and the underground metro station of the Colosseo just 5 mins away by foot.
